Managing Contacts (Debtors)

Contacts (often referred to as debtors) are individuals or entities with whom you have financial transactions.

Creating a Contact

To start tracking debts, you need to add the person as a contact:

  1. Navigate to the Contacts page.
  2. Use the Add Contact form.
  3. Enter their Name (required).
  4. Optionally add Email and Phone. Email allows automated payment reminders.
  5. Assign Groups to organize your list.
  6. Click Create.

Editing a Contact

  1. Click a contact's name to view details.
  2. Click the Edit icon (pencil).
  3. Update details and click Save.

Deleting a Contact

To delete, open the contact's details and use the delete option if available. Ensure all associated debts are settled first.

Usage

Select contacts when creating new Debts to track who owes you what. The Dashboard shows total outstanding balances per contact.
